The Stop Climate Chaos Lobby event on Tuesday 8th May was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came along to lobby their MLAs and thanks to all the members of Stop Climate Chaos NI who worked so hard to organise and promote the event and also Anna Lo MLA who kindly agreed to sponsor the event.
The Long Gallery at Stormont was packed with constituents and MLAs and buzzed with discussion, debate and occasional disagreement about the issue of climate change and the need for a Northern Ireland Climate Change Act.

We were really pleased to have a really good turn out from MLAs with all the parties represented. The response from MLAs was overwhelmingly positive with only one participant refusing to support climate change legislation for Northern Ireland.
East Belfast UUP MLA Michael Copeland who signed the Stop Climate Chaos pledge to support an act said;
“Northern Ireland in common with the rest of the world ignores this issue at it’s peril. There can in reality be no compromise on the future of the planet and the burden of doing what must be done must fall and be shared equally.”
Click on your constituency below to find out which of your MLAs has signed our pledge to support a Northern Ireland climate act.
Please help us keep up the pressure by contacting your MLAs who have yet to confirm their support. If you would like more information about how to go about doing this please email us.
